Star Track Express Distribution Centre, Perth Airport
The Star Track Express Distribution Warehouse and Office facility at Perth Airport, Western Australia, is designed to meet strict functional requirements for truck access, loading, docking, internal storage and racking systems to facilitate Star Track Express’ operations.
Not only did the design meet the critical functionality and efficiency required for a distribution warehouse, the building also projects a dynamic image for the company by using a sleek, mono-pitch roof and sloping wall cladding with sweeping overhangs that also facilitate protected, natural cross ventilation.
This project was the recipient of a Commendation in the 2009 Australian Institute of Architects Awards
