In 2017, WesTrac and ACE engaged Parry and Rosenthal Architects to review WesTrac’s existing facilities and operations, spread over a number of sites around the Perth Metropolitan area, with a view to consolidating the operations and improving functionality, efficiency, work flow and economy.
Through a comprehensive analysis of the client’s operational and flow requirements, detailed on site briefing workshops with stakeholders and detailed specialist technical input, Parry and Rosenthal developed an in depth understanding of WesTrac’s business, planning and functional requirements. A building condition study was carried out to identify which buildings could be reused and upgraded, and which would have to be replaced with new facilities. A similar study was carried out on machinery and other equipment.
It was important that the master planning solution allowed for the ongoing, live operation of the business on site. Together with the WesTrac team, Parry and Rosenthal Architects prioritized sites, planned for the consolidation and streamlining of operations, and provided a new Master Plan solution for each of the sites.
